AIDE Systems Engineer, Level III (Subcontracted to Novetta Solutions)

LOCATION: Hurlburt Field, FL

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide direct support to the AIDE suite of applications in across AFSOC SGIP nodes. Responsibilities include: provide AIDE system support training to Systems Admin, and IT Comms Engineer FTEs to execute 24/7/365 operations while implementing the AIDE suite; engineer and architect Linux RedHat Enterprise, various database environments, ElasticSearch, Google Earth Enterprise, web services and GeoServer Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to optimize operations and system availability; engineer and architect IP-tables user-space program and configure tables provided by the Linux Kernel Firewall and the chains and rules it stores and implements; engineer and architect various query language to spread application data evenly across AIDE nodes while minimizing the number of read partitions to optimize operations and database availability to the AIDE applications; work with Information Assurance Specialist to engineer Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) cybersecurity methodologies to standardize security protocols within networks, servers, clients, and logical designs to enhance overall security while implementing the appropriate methodologies in the AIDE environment; work with Lead IT Comms Systems Engineer/Architect and Configuration Manager to maintain technical documentation of an AIDE architecture to include ports, protocols, and services; and implement and follow change/service management procedures to optimize operations and systems availability for AIDE users. Requires experience in AIDE (w/in 30 days of hire); SW/HW Troubleshooting; RMF; Equipment Shipping/Logistics; Documentation Control/Creation; Database Management (SQL).

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Required Experience: 5+ yrs. of exp.
AIDE (w/in 30 days of hire); SW/HW Troubleshooting; RMF; Equipment Shipping/Logistics; Documentation Control/Creation; Database Management (SQL)

 

Desired Experience: GD-MS MAAS (w/in 60 days of hire); FMV Principles; MS Windows Client; MS Office; MS Directory Services Administration; MS Group Policy; MS DNS; MS DHCP; MS Hyper-V; VMWare Vcenter/Vsphere; Network Infrastructure Cabling (Fiber/Copper); Disaster Recovery Procedures; CDS; Scripting (Java, Go, Bash); and Middleware (Elasticsearch, Pgpool)

 

Education/Certifications:

4-yr degree relative to position (required); MS degree (desired); Linux & Red Hat Linux certs (required); IAT Level II cert (required)

 

Clearance Level:

TS/SCI, (TS)
