Cyber Security Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform Cyber Security support to provide oversight and direction to the network, systems administrator, help desk, and video teleconference sections. Work closely with data owners, information system owners, and users to ensure secure use and operation of information systems (IS) and networks. Must possess an in-depth understanding of the USARCENT mission and the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility. Install, operate, and maintain Network Access Control System(s) to examine potential security violations and determine if the installation campus area network IA policy has been violated, breached, or circumvented and report any assessments to the IAM. Monitor, analyze, and detect unauthorized activity on the USARCENT networks. Diagnose, resolve, and document network system security problems in response to security incidents. Scan, monitor, and test network servers, routers, and switches to ensure they comply with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements in conjunction with network and system administrators. Install perimeter defense systems in coordination with the network team. Provide IAM guidance and support for inspections and assessments. Perform tasks in support of the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM). Implement rigorous application of IA policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services. Identify and correct security anomalies or integrity loopholes, such as system weaknesses or vulnerabilities identified. Ensure that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current IA certification to perform IA functions.


REQUIREMENTS:

1 year of experience in Cyber Security/Information Assurance


Education/Certifications:

2-year college degree in any field; IT Level II; IAT Level II/CNDSP; Computing Environment (CE) certifications


Clearance Level: 

Top Secret with SSBI
