Intermediate IT/Comms Systems Engineers

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide systems engineering expertise to assess requirements, as well as designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technically advanced end-to-end solutions in support of the SGIP Program. Additional responsibilities include: support Senior Engineer/Architect in performing systems engineering and integration support for SGIP systems; provide top-level technical expert responsible for design and development of a client/server environment; develop strategy of client/server system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy; advise on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development; advise management on feasibility of potential future projects; perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex application that require a thorough knowledge of administrative, and technical skills; participate in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, test and acceptance phases; apply business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solution; assist with Information Assurance (IA) for program systems to ensure all IA actions are properly completed in accordance with current standards, regulations, and directives (i.e. preparation of IA artifacts, such as system scans, patches, diagrams, etc.); design and prepare technical reports, related documentation to include charts and graphs to record results; and implement and test AV solutions in support of AFSOC PED facilities. Requires experience in AIDE (w/in 30 days of hire); GD-MS MAAS (w/in 60 days); FMV Principles; SW/HW Troubleshooting; MS Windows Server and Windows Client; MS Office; MS SQL Server; MS Directory Services Administration; MS Group Policy; MS DNS; MS DHCP; MS SCCM; MS Hyper-V; MS Failover Cluster Manager; VMWare Vcenter/Vsphere; Netapp Ontap; Cisco Catalyst/Nexus IOS Configuration; Network Infrastructure Cabling (Fiber/Copper); Disaster Recovery Procedures; CDS; HBSS; Cisco VTC Administration; AV Systems Administration; Crestron Toolbox; Documentation Control/Creation.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Required Experience: 5+ yrs. of exp.
AIDE (w/in 30 days of hire); GD-MS MAAS (w/in 60 days); FMV Principles; SW/HW Troubleshooting; MS Windows Server and Windows Client; MS Office; MS SQL Server; MS Directory Services Administration; MS Group Policy; MS DNS; MS DHCP; MS SCCM; MS Hyper-V; MS Failover Cluster Manager; VMWare Vcenter/Vsphere; Netapp Ontap; Cisco Catalyst/Nexus IOS Configuration; Network Infrastructure Cabling (Fiber/Copper); Disaster Recovery Procedures; CDS; HBSS; Cisco VTC Administration; AV Systems Administration; Crestron Toolbox; Documentation Control/Creation.

 

Desired Experience: MS Visio; IA/Security (RMF); AV Systems Design/Integration; Crestron Programming; Netzoom; Life Cycle Systems Management; Equipment Shipping/Logistics; Database Management (SQL); Scripting (Java, Go, Bash), Middleware (Elasticsearch, Pgpool)

 

Education/Certifications:

4-yr degree relative to position (required); MS degree (desired); Linux, Netapp Ontap NCDA certs (required); IAT Level II cert. (required); IASAE Level 2, Red Hat Linux, Netapp Ontap NCIE, PM, and ITIL certs (desired)

 

Clearance Level:

TS/SCI, (TS)
