Define and validate technical security requirements for proposed IT systems, and document system security design approaches and/or determine if system design approaches meet mission security requirements. Integrate cybersecurity considerations into systems engineering and design processes and shall ensure that the cybersecurity portions of the overall system design are reflected in all contractor generated system engineering and design documents, test plans, procedures, and reports. The contractor shall ensure that cybersecurity boundaries (e.g., crypto boundary, authorization boundary, classification boundary) are clearly and consistently identified in all Contractor generated program documents and drawings. Perform network security management services that includes assisting the Government with managing access restrictions to network facilities/resources, as well as protecting the confidentiality, authenticity, and integrity of network management data (e.g., routing tables, access lists, and audit data protection). Provide comprehensive cybersecurity designs that implement the applicable baseline security controls from the latest version of CNSSI No. 1253, Security Categorization and Control Selection for National Security Systems. Meet cybersecurity requirements as stated in Government technical requirements documents. Document security controls inherited in the systems design. Incorporate layered defense and resilience into system architecture and design. Support network hardware and software maintenance, to include patches, preventive maintenance, modifications, and network emergency repair.
