JOB DESCRIPTION:
Oversee work of intermediate-level Systems Administrators. Provide administration for local and remote systems for various operating environments (development, test, pre-production, training, and production). Maintain highly secure and available systems by adhering to Army Information Management &Technology (IM&T) standards, IA guidance, and industry best business practices. Support the IT life cycle management process by providing expertise in architecture management, design, and performance tuning. Perform system administration, monitoring, and reporting of system reliability, availability, maintainability, capacity, and performance across the enterprise and identify and resolve system interoperability issues. Perform hardware movement, placement, and installation of equipment, e.g., servers (Windows/Unix/Linux), virtual file servers (Virtual Managers), storage devices, and ensure performance through diagnostics using appropriate parameters and protocols in coordination with NEC organizations, DREN organizations, DISA, CSP, and designated Processing Centers.
