Database Analyst/Programmer - Senior

LOCATION: McClellan Park, CA



Provide a full range of database support for developing and managing database systems. Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure. Modify existing databases and database management systems in accordance with DMEA IT policy and procedures. Perform backups of data and test restorations. Monitor and report database performance. Troubleshoot performance issues with databases. Ensure data is accessible, available, and secure from unauthorized access. Document incidents using the DMEA ticket tracking system and publish Knowledge Base articles when applicable. Provide management, configuration, administration, implementation, and optimization of storage devices throughout DMEA networks. Manage technologies and processes to improve the performance, reliability, and availability of DMEA data storage resources. Manage and configure storage in accordance with federal, DoD, and DMEA policy. Provide support for the data storage systems. Allocate storage to Windows and Linux servers. Implement storage strategies. Provide storage planning, data management, and disaster recovery planning best practices and test accordingly. Install, configure, and integrate file with the Windows and Linux environments. Provide backup, recovery and archiving of data. Perform and enable controls to ensure the virtual infrastructure security posture follows DISA STIGs and DMEA regulations. Set up and monitor performance and capacity monitoring capability. Document incidents according to DMEA policy, and publish Knowledge Base articles when applicable. Maintain existing SOPs in support of this objective.



Years of Experience: 10+ yrs.



Be certified as IAT Level II per DoD 8570.01-M guidance for Baseline certifications. Be able to obtain a task order related computing environment system certifications IAW DoD 8570.01-M guidance for computing environment certifications and DMEA policy.
