LOCATION: Kuwait, Afghanistan



Provide OS administration of enterprise-wide, multi-site server environments and requires excellent communication skills and work flexible schedules to support mission requirements. Coordinates with the Windows System Administrators, Operations team, and Engineering team to assist in the planning, analysis, implementation, and sustainment of VMWare based hypervisor and their associated Windows based virtual machines. Support the delivery of new capabilities and projects; effectively troubleshoots issues; assists with the health monitoring of the OS, application processes, and services; assists with creating and maintaining system documentation and reporting. Create, manage, and troubleshoot virtual machines, environments, and all related software and equipment. Communicate and assist in the day to day tasks to operate and maintain the virtual environment. Ensure tools and applications assigned are compliant with DISA STIGs, IAVAs, and local, HHQ, and DOD policies. Operate and maintain High Availability (HA),Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), vCenter Server, vSphere Operations Management, VMware Converter, VMWare, vSphere clusters, VMware Update Manager, Virtual Distributed Switch, Cisco 1000v dv Switches, storage, NetApp storage platforms, Fiber Channel, Fiber Channel over Ethernet, iSCSI, Network File System, Logical Unit Number / Aggregate sizing, and Input Deliverables Per Second. Successfully coordinate with other teams on VMWare/Windows server projects and operations support. Manage SAN replication and snapshots. Identify potential virtual system configuration issues and proactively perform maintenance to resolve or improve system performance. Manage system hardware, including routine maintenance and RMA/replacement of failed hardware; and provide virtual networking guidelines and standards. Attain 100% DISA compliance within 7 days of policy release. Provide on-call support on a rotational basis with other team members. Provide troubleshooting and incident resolution for Tier 1 problems.
