JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide engineering solutions and support to the NETCOM G5 Projects and NETCOM efforts with the goal of improving computer network performance, defense, and security. Perform network engineering functions; develop, review, and provide comments to network documents (e.g., drawings, design plans, test plans) and reports as required. Provide engineering support during system, testing, evaluations, configuration, integrations, and stabilization of security mitigations and control mechanisms at Army Posts, Camps and Stations (P/C/S). Analyze engineering data to support network performance, security, and capacity planning in accordance with (IAW) Army Regulations (AR), directives and policies. Provide Enterprise level Strategic and Infrastructure planning support. Provide expertise in network, applications, software, hardware, appliances, and systems-level analyses needed to train the NETCOM teams on the use of the application products and tools used to perform testing. Provide over-the-shoulder training to NETCOM personnel on the technologies/capabilities, tools and applications used to conduct testing.
