JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide guidance to the Authorizing Official (AO) and Information Assurance Program Manager (IAPM) in protecting, detecting, characterizing, countering, and mitigating unauthorized activity and vulnerabilities on DoD information networks and systems. Assist in developing and implementing cybersecurity programs and shall provide recommendations for, and coordination of, administrative policies and procedures. Develop and maintain a process to identify and track cybersecurity requirements, identify possible solutions, manage cybersecurity actions, and document decisions and certification efforts. Assist with the engineering and configuring of ISs to enable CND protection activities for servers, firewalls, and routers. Assist with developing and executing processes and procedures that include protecting, monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to unauthorized actions in cyberspace. Execute network defense steps, such as configuring and deploying firewalls and intrusion detection systems and modifying systems to protect them against current threats. Analyze network traffic for signs of attack, perform risk assessments, and develop plans for responding to attacks. Collaborate with DoD and federal agency stakeholders to identify and share cyber threat intelligence provided by Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), and other sources.

3 yrs. exp. In cyber and RMF; 7 yrs. exp. In cyber management and tech exp. With DoD networks
