JOB DESCRIPTION:

Ensure that all CBC DREN Mission Application Network (DMAN) and SIPRNET Mission Application Network (SMAN) services including underlying hardware and software meets all DoD 8500 series and NIST 800-53 security requirements. Implement and monitor CBC DMAN and SMAN server backup and restore operations as defined within existing SOP’s provided by the government. Provide development of systems architecture and other system engineering/administration documentation. Create test plans to allow for a proper evaluation of hardware and software being considered for implementation. Provide written evaluations of system concepts, system designs, and system support program proposals with the goal of recommending actions for optimizing system performance to include evaluations of technical and production performance. Research, develop, demonstrate, integrate, and test innovative technologies. Implement and monitor the CBC DMAN and SMAN disaster recovery plan. Implement and monitor CBC DMAN and SMAN testing and installation of patches, updates, additional tools, and future versions of all software on a daily basis. Ensure the CBC DMAN and SMAN server logs are kept on a central log server such as Splunk and are provided to the CBC ISSM (Information Systems Security Manager) upon request. Troubleshoot all IT issues for the assurance of CBC’s DMAN and SMAN server reliability. Provide recommendations to the TPOC that address the future performance needs of enterprise services through ongoing monitoring of capacity planning and management for the continuity and functionality of the system operations and integration. Perform full beta-testing to ensure full functionality and integration with all CBC DMAN and SMAN services prior to applying changes to production systems. For new projects or systems, the contractor shall provide the TPOC with written test plan for approval prior to implementation. Perform preventative maintenance and server patching after normal business hours with approval from the Project Manager. Schedule installation of all required server patches to occur after normal business hours. Install patches manually on the DMAN and SMAN servers and workstations. Upgrade, maintain and provide security patches on all CBC G-6 servers in this environment. Ensure compliance with Cybersecurity Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAS) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS). Provide engineering consulting and compliance management as required by government policy. Assist in technical evaluation of the vendor submissions for compliance with government defined specifications. Prepare and present training information to the Project manager or technical staff and user personnel. Maintain systems and data integrity that includes virus checking. Ensure maximum availability and performance given resources. Participate in Change Management Control process and submit Request for Change IAW with CBC G-6 policy. Administer system security tools to include ACAS, SCAP and Radix. Ensure STIG checklists and associated artifacts for all technologies are reviewed and validation results are posted to CBC G6's STIG portal every 6 months. Support UNIX/LINUX/MAC, Web, Printer and Multi-Function Device Management, Domain Services, Enterprise Infrastructure, Backup, Endpoint Security, Enterprise Operations, Enterprise Monitoring, and Specialized Mission Applications.

IT Level I; IAT Level II; Additional Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire

 

Clearance Level:

Secret/SSBI
